Treat your mom to a fun filled day! It starts with a medieval Castle visit, we go on a River Cruise through the romantic Rhine Valley with beautiful vineyard’s to the left and right, Castles with stories on the hill tops and a 3 course lunch on the ship. We extend the cruise a bit and get off in Rüdesheim, the most famous town on the Rhine where our tour guide leads you through the well known Drosselgasse, the most narrow street we have in all Germany. Enjoy some free time by strolling through the city, may be sample a glass of wine or some ice cream …… Our tour guides will definitely tell you what all is there to do!
Travel to the southern edge of Germany to explore a tropical garden island sheltered in a corner of Lake Constance (admission included). Join us for an Liberation fest and Brewery Tour in Pilsen and we will travel with you from D Day to V Day in the Czech city of Plzeň (or Pilsen) also home of the famous Pilsner beer. When a particular brew is labelled a pils or pilsner, it’s simply a nod to the town where this amber-colored lager was first developed in the mid-19th century. In addition to the delicious beer (tasting& Lunch included), a rich military history and legacy is found and celebrated here with the Liberation Fest. Pilsen was freed from the Nazi occupation by Pattons 3rd Army on June 6, 1945 and the people in Pilsen will never forget this day. So they celebrate it and are very proud of all the American Visitors that gather there each year.
Nestled in the Mosel Valley behind a few rocky hills, is the charming town of Cochem. Here we will explore the 1000 year old fairy tale castle, Burg Reichsburg, claimed by local lore to be the original "Sleeping Beauty" castle. We will enter the castle for an informative tour by an English-speaking guide, followed by a medieval-style dinner in the Knight’s Dining Room. During the meal, we will be entertained with stories about medieval table manners and enjoy live entertainment by travelling minstrels. The highlight of the evening will be the Knight Games with lots of fun for everyone!
