Amsterdam 1 Overnight

Join us a 2-day, 1-overnight adventure to Amsterdam. Amsterdam is one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in Europe filled with fun and diversity. Amsterdam magnetizes everyone with its rich culture, unique & delicious foods, narrow canals, colorful bridges and electric atmosphere. Our centrally located, four-star hotel, puts the entire city within easy reach of your doorstep allowing you to maximize your time here.

Day 1: Our adventure gets on the way with an early departure in Ramstein. Our first stop will be the family-owned and operated Clara Maria Dairy Farm. Here we will meet the van Wees family and learn all about the premium cheese that is carefully crafted. Our hosts will serve a late Dutch breakfast, offering an assortment of bread, sliced meats, sweet jam, fresh fruits, juice and coffee.

A cheese-making demonstration will reveal how the magic ingredients, aging process, care and technique come together to create the amazing artisan cheeses created here.  There will also be tasty samples for you to nibble and test your palette with your newly acquired cheese knowledge! A visit to Holland would not be complete without an exploration of Dutch clogs, another traditional specialty offered here. At the farms woodworking shop you will have an opportunity to see how the famous, beautiful wooden shoes are hand-made by artisans in traditional fashion. Before we leave the Farm, there will be time for you to visit the incredibly well-stocked gift shop.

With our bellies full of cheese and bags full of Dutch treasures, we leave the countryside and head for the urban metropolis of Amsterdam where we check in to our city Hotel early afternoon. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city to your hearts content, with a wealth of suggestions from your tour guide in your pocket.

Popular sites you may want to visit during your free time include the Van Goh Museum, Ann Frank House, the Jordaan area or the De Negen Straatjes (Nine Little Streets).  If you find yourself getting hungry, keep your eye out for Stroopwafels, a sensational sweet Dutch treat made from two wafer-thin, cookie-like waffles glued together with a delectably thick caramel syrup

Day 2: After a hearty continental breakfast it is time to check out of our Hotel but not yet Amsterdam. This morning, join our tour guide on one of the famous canal boat rides through Amsterdam’s narrow waterways. Nearly 1000 bridges connect more than 70 islands, threaded together by thousands of streets and alleyways, all lined with uncountable numbers of beautiful buildings. The next few hours are yours to fill with some last-minute adventures and explore all the sites that did not make your schedule yesterday before we have to say goodbye to this amazing city and begin the journey home, allowing you to relax and unwind from your exciting adventure.
