Christmas Adventure

On this trip we are off to the pristine shores of Lake Constance, where the magical Island of Mainau is waiting!  As soon as we arrive, a delicious holiday smorgasbord will be served to give you all the energy you need to explore the Islands treasures, including a butterfly house, the chapel and the Castle. During holiday season, the castle is hosting an exhibition called BRIO WORLD featuring the quality toys Brio has been producing since the 1800s. A visit to this exhibition, is sure to bring back fond childhood memories as you rediscover some of those favorite toys you played with as child. The company takes great pride in using a simple, clean design to make toys that spark creativity and imagination in children of all ages.  Their open-ended play system allows everything to be connected and attached in many ways, providing an endless platform for a child’s imagination and creativity.

After enjoying all Mainau island has to offer, we visit the shores of Lake Constance where a special early season Christmas Market is waiting to be discovered.  Here we enter a Christmas Paradise bustling with traders and craftsmen offering just the gift you were looking for. Stroll the little alleyways surrounding the 170 festively decorated stalls, where visitors are promised to find everything the heart desires. Listen to Christmas music performed by local music groups, warm your hands on a nice cup of Glühwein (mulled wine) while you taste yourself through the markets delights and be sure to check out the highlight - the Christmas market ship, anchored in the harbor.
