Northern Christmas Delights at Sea

Oslo - The Journey Is The Destination

This Christmas season leave everyday life behind and journey with RTT into Viking territory. Join us on a two day, two overnight cruise and enjoy the exclusive maritime flair aboard the Color Line (Magic /Fantasy) on our journey to Oslo to see the northern Metropolis ablaze in Christmas magic.

Day 1: We journey from Ramstein directly to our first stop, the Port of Kiel. After check in to our booked room and an orientational look around it is time to cast off on our comfortable and luxurious Ferry ship. Stroll along the 120m long promenade lined with shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. In the evening, enjoy an elaborate Christmas buffet also called “Julebord” (Smorgasbord) with typical northern delicacies. Invigorated and ready to dive into the evening, a table is already reserved for you to enjoy the music and show program in the ships very own “Show Lounge”. Afterwards be sure to swing by the Palazzo Night club for a little Dance.

Day 2: After an early breakfast, we encourage everyone to bundle up and head up top to take in the rugged beauty as the ships makes its way through the Olsofjord and enjoy the picturesque view of the coast line and surrounding islands. After our ship doc’s, we board our transportation into the city center of Oslo. During our free time, get a view of the Royal Palace, visit a typical Northern Cathedral or stroll over the Christmas Market. Can you say “En Gløgg takk”? You may have just ordered a wonderfully steaming mug of mulled wine in Norwegian. Commonly made with Red Wine, it is the traditional Norwegian hot beverage of the season.

After thoroughly enjoying this one of a king experience it is “all aboard” again and as the ship is pulling out of the port of Oslo, the early winter sun is setting on the Oslofjord as we waive farewell.  Spend the feasting on another delicous seasonal Smorgasbord of Scandanavian delights, before you rest and relax or visit the the Palazzo Night club for some cocktails and dancing.

Day 3: After a hearty breakfast, we check out of our cabins and continue our Nordic adventure from Kiel, a maritime city where old-fashioned holiday traditions meet modern day life in the most unique way. This time of year, the heart of the town is transformed into a world full of Christmas joy and spirit. Stroll along Nordic style huts and taverns that welcome visitors to feast, linger and enjoy culinary delights and creative goods from all around the Baltic sea.  After warming up with one last mug of Gløgg it is time to say good bye to the northern hospitality and board our bus for the return to trip to Ramstein.
