9 Day / 8 Night Adventure

Join us on an amazing, exotic adventure to Thailand, the Land of Smiles, where we explore the rich heritage, warm hospitality, and tropical paradise that makes this one of Asia's top travel destinations. This once-in-a-lifetime trip begins in the bustling city of Bangkok, famous for ornate temples and colorful street markets, offering a new and amazing bite of food on every corner.  From here we travel to the mystical and enchanting Ruins of Angkor, where hundreds of ancient ruins create the largest single religious monument in the world.  We finish off with rest and relaxation on the sugary sand beaches of Hua Hin, at a five-star resort packed with amenities and activities.  Fantastic flavors, sensational sightseeing, incredible shopping, topped off with surf and sand – this is the very definition of a bucket list vacation!

Day 1: Departure

Our adventure begins with a mid-afternoon departure from Frankfurt International Airport and an overnight flight to Bangkok, the most populated city in Thailand, officially known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and colloquially referred to as Krung Thep.

Day 2: Beautiful Beginnings in Bangkok

Welcome to Bangkok! After an early morning arrival, we travel to our downtown hotel for check-in where there will be time to freshen up before venturing out into the city for our taste of Thailand with an introductory tour.  This is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the fast, lively pace of this colorful city, celebrated for the countless ornate shrines, vibrant street life, and street markets that are woven together by an endless series of klongs (waterways).  Along the way there will be plenty of chances to sample the delicious street food of Bangkok; from fresh and familiar spring rolls and pad thai to the more exotic local favorites including fried grasshoppers, scorpions, and other delicacies!  If you’re not ready to dive into the marvel and mystery of Thai street food just yet, fear not, there is an amazing meal coming your way!  The evening offers an amazing traditional dinner at one of the city’s most prestigious restaurants. In addition to the amazing local flavors, this dinner is served high atop the 76th floor with an unparalleled view of the bustling, glowing metropolis below.  There is no better way to end your first day in Bangkok than this; in the clouds, tasting delicious Asian cuisine, watching the electric shimmer of city lights as far as the eye can see.

Day 3: Heritage and History

Following breakfast at the hotel, we venture out for a day of sightseeing that illuminates the true essence of this beautiful city as we visit the Rattanakosin Royal District which houses some of the most important sights of Bangkok.  Our first stop takes us to the Temple of  Wat Pho, one of six first-class royal temples and the oldest in Bangkok.  The temple is home to more than one thousand Buddha images as well, among them is the impressive Reclining Buddha, spanning 151 feet in length, and covered in gold leaf.   Next, we visit the iconic Grand Palace, a perfect example of the ancient Siamese court and home to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Pra Kaew).

The morning finishes with a tasty and well-deserved lunch, followed by a relaxing boat ride on the Chao Phraya River (River of Kings), providing the perfect opportunity to see the network of Klongs that bind the city together, taking us to the west bank and the modern Thonburi District. Here, we will have the chance to observe and photograph the serene family homes and temples along the waterways, which gave the city the name “Venice of the East”. Our final stop today is Wat Arun, one of the most photographed sights in Bangkok, boasting steep steps and a Khmer-style spire. This majestic temple derives its name from the Hindu god Aruṇa, often personified as the beams of the rising sun, which come alive on the ornately decorated glazed ceramic pieces that reflect early morning rays.  From here, the remainder of the day is yours to freely explore the city, shop for an endless amount of treasures, snack on street food, and take in the magic of Bangkok at your own pace.

Day 4: Floating Markets & Exotic Foods

After breakfast at the hotel, we journey approximately 100 km to the west of Bangkok to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, famous for its many colors, flavors, and exotic fragrances. Our time here begins with a scenic ride on a longtail, a traditional wooden speedboat used to navigate the shallow klongs and coastlines.  This scenic ride takes us past rustic riverside villages and fruit plantations before arriving at one of Thailand’s most famous and popular floating markets. Sample durian fruit, order fried bananas served via fishing pole, buy souvenirs from Canalside stalls, and don’t forget to barter – it’s expected here! After ample time to shop, we travel back to Bangkok where we will explore the world’s largest Chinatown.  This lively, historic neighborhood is nested in a grove of skyscrapers, bustling with traffic, aglow with colorful neon signs, and the sultry aromas are sure to tempt you to try some of the most delicious and exotic street food in Bangkok – a true feast for all the senses! Your guide will accompany you through the narrow alleyways that offer a fusion of colonial-style architecture and contrasting Chinese temples such as Leng Noi Yee.  Once your guide has introduced you to the area, you are free to independently explore the maze of market stalls, glittery gold shops, spice merchants, and fabric shops.  As evening arrives China Town turns into Bangkok’s biggest open-air restaurant, offering an endless supply of culinary delights to sample and snack on.

Day 5 – Day 7: Amazing Angkor Ruins

Following breakfast and check-out from our hotel, we say goodbye to Bangkok and embark on the next exciting part of the trip.  A short flight takes us to Siem Reap (Cambodia), where we find one of the world’s most mysterious and majestic sites… Welcome to heaven on earth and The Temple Complex of Angkor! The expansive site is the earthly representation of the Hindu Faith's Mount Meru, home to their ancient gods, as Mount Olympus was to the ancient Greeks. Here you will find a perfect fusion of creative ambition and spiritual devotion, built by each generation's effort to outdo the last in size, scale, and symmetry, producing the world’s largest religious compound.

Following breakfast each day, we will dedicate our time to seeing this impressive and massive collection of precious places.  Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia and contains the architectural remains of the Khmer Empire (9th to 15th Century). The complex is the perfect blend of symbolism and symmetry and is home to the spectacular temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Tom, Ta Prohm (the temple overgrown with trees), the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King to name only a few. Here we will be immersed in a tropical jungle full of treasures, ruins, temples, elaborate carvings, imposing stone faces, and images that take us back in time through a narrative of stories of ancient religious devotion.

The Angkor complex consists of an Outer Wall, richly decorated with sculptures including a statue of Vishnu the eight-armed God, an Avenue lined with Naga Balustrades, and the Central Complex with the Gallery of the Thousand Buddha (Preah Poan). The Temples of Angkor combine a rich history of both Hinduism and Buddhism, connecting those who visit this sacred place with the spirit and heritage of its people.

Spectacular Sunrise & Sunset Experiences:  To see the Temple Complex of Angkor Wat at it most enchanting and beautiful, it is best to arrive in the early morning hours, just as the sun's first rays gently graze over towers, bathing the site in a romantic reddish-golden glow. In the evening, enjoy the best views of The Temple Hill of Phom Bakheng as the sun sets into the horizon, casting a mystical glow over this ancient wonder.

Day 7 – Day 10: Stunning Beach resort

Our day begins with an early breakfast and check-out from our Siem Reap hotel.  After the short return flight back to Bangkok, we head south to the sun-kissed shores of Hua Hin and the stunning five-star beach resort that will be our home for the remainder of our time in Thailand. The resort is set between the seaside town of Hua Hin, framed by sugar palm fields, mountains, and the sea.  Now is the time to experience the finest of Thai hospitality and the sugar sand beaches here. The resort is equipped with a Wellness Sanctuary that offers body treatments, massages, and holistic wellness programs as well as an array of fine-dining options offered at the restaurant, poolside, or barefoot on the beach.  Your time here is your own to relax and rejuvenate, follow your own interests, and experience the coastal life of Thailand.  After a very late check out on Day 9 and final breakfast in Thailand, our shuttle will take us back to the airport for an early evening check-in and overnight return flight to Frankfurt.

Day 10: Homecoming

With a treasure chest of amazing memories and group of new friends, we arrive in the early morning at Frankfurt International Airport.

Magical Morocco

See the Royal Cities of Casablanca, Marrakesh & Rabat

Morocco is an enchanting mix of Arab, Moorish, African, and European influences come together to create a one-of-a-kind rich cultural experience, filled with unique architecture, delicious oriental food and the most colorful markets that are unlike anything you have seen before. Journey with us on this 5-day trip that is not only a feast for the eyes, but mind, body and soul!

Day 1: A morning departure from Frankfurt Airport takes us directly to Marrakesh. Upon arrival at the airport, we will meet our local guide, travel to our hotel and get settled in and enjoy our first local dinner. On the way to our Hotel, we will already be introduced to highlights and incredible architecture of this colourful city.

Over the next few days we will be hypnotized and enchanted by the magic of Morocco and experience the fascinating ambiance, scents and culture that inspired the legendary 1001 Nights fairytale!

Day 2: Marrakesh, the Pearl of the South and second most important royal city in the country, awaits! After a hearty breakfast, our local guide will lead us through the city's most notable landmarks, including the impressively tall Koutoubia Mosque, celebrated for its intricate minaret and historical significance. The Medina of Marrakesh is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating back to the Berber Empire. Here, you'll find a labyrinth of colorful alleys, like the Souk Semmarine known for its vibrant textiles. Explore bustling shops offering a variety of spices – imagine the fragrant aromas of saffron, cumin, and ras el hanout filling the air!

With insider tips from our local guide, the remainder of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. Taste some of the local delicacies – perhaps a sweet mint tea or a savory tagine. Don't forget to haggle for your perfect find at the market.

Day 3: We start our day bright and early with breakfast at the hotel, before traveling through Morocco, alongside the vibrant and dynamic landscape of the Middle Atlas Mountains en route to Rabat, the country's capital, and the current royal headquarters. Here you will find a perfect mixture of 'old & new' architectural masterpieces, such as the impressive Hassan Tower, a minaret left unfinished, a testament to the ambition of its original builders. We'll also visit the glowing Mausoleum of Mohammed V, its white marble and intricate details creating a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. While access to the Royal Palace is limited to viewing its grand facade and surrounding gardens, you'll be captivated by the intricate mosaics and quintessential Arabic interior design evident in its architecture.

Late afternoon we check in to our comfortable hotel, conveniently located near the city center, and enjoy a well-deserved dinner featuring traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Day 4: After breakfast at the Hotel, we continue with the second part of our guided tour through Rabat, discovering the beauty of this city, including the well-known Kasbah of the Oudaias. Lose yourself in its charming, blue-washed alleyways, wander through the tranquil Andalusian gardens, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

During the second half of the day, you will have ample free time for some independent exploration. We find ourselves right next to the Ocean, so perhaps an afternoon at Plage de Rabat, known for its soft sand and gentle waves, sounds appealing. Or perhaps a relaxing treatment at a local Hammam, a traditional Moroccan bathhouse, is in order. You could also explore the Medina, searching for unique souvenirs like handcrafted leather goods or traditional pottery. The town is just waiting for you to explore.

Day 5: After breakfast, we visit the famous metropolis of Casablanca, Morocco's economic powerhouse and a city where modern skyscrapers meet traditional architecture. It rose to international fame from the movie “Casablanca” with Humphrey Bogart’s famous line; “Here’s looking at you, kid”. Here we visit the Great Mosque of Hassan II, an architectural treasure rising majestically over the ocean. Its sheer size is breathtaking, and it's adorned with intricate tilework, hand-carved cedarwood, and delicate stucco, showcasing the highest quality of Moroccan craftsmanship.

In the afternoon, we arrive back in Marrakesh, where we'll enjoy some additional time in the city. Perhaps a last visit to the souk. Before our flight back to Frankfurt later that night, we'll sit down for a farewell group dinner overlooking the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa, the liveliest gathering spot in town. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and smells of this vibrant square – where the sounds of storytellers and musicians fill the air. We'll savor a delicious Moroccan feast, reminiscing about the incredible experiences we've shared as we prepare to leave with cherished memories of Morocco's beauty, culture, and warmth and a promise to return someday.

Day 6: After a midnight departure and a short direct flight, we arrive at Frankfurt Airport in the early morning hours.

Epic European Capitols

Epic European Capitals

Ljubljana, Slowenia & Zagreb, Croatia

Join RTT on this epic overnight adventure to visit two of the most fascinating eastern European Capitals and the beautiful countryside that surrounds them. Highlights on this tour include Ljubljana/Slovenia, Zagreb/ Croatia, Maribor one of the most beautiful and oldest wine growing regions and Bled, famous for its stunning blue glacier lake and gorgeous castle.

Day 1: An early morning departure by bus takes us south, passing the alpine mountain region of Austria where we cross into Slovenia through the majestic Karawanken tunnel. We will check in to our Hotel and spend the evening feasting on some delicious Slovenian cuisine providing the perfect first opportunity to indulge in local flavors.

Day 2: After breakfast at the Hotel we meet our local guide and start exploring Ljubljana and all the highlights this beautiful city has to offer. Slovenia's capital is referred to as being a green capital of a green country famous for picturesque bridges and squares. We stroll through the city passing beautiful house-facades from renaissance and baroques times, crossing stunning bridges and marvel at the beautiful cathedral of St. Nicholas.

With a wealth of suggestions from our local guide in your pocket, the remainder of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. Perhaps follow the city’s urban heart beat into a more alternative part of town shaped by art and sustainability.

Day 3: After breakfast at the Hotel we meet our local guide for a full day excursion into the picturesque wine region surrounding the medieval towns of Maribor and Ptuj. Our excursion starts with a stroll through the quaint narrow streets of Maribor passing stunning cathedrals, city hall, beautiful squares but most importantly the world’s oldest grape-vine of 400 years. After some ample free time for a more in-depth exploration, perhaps some shopping or even a traditional snack, we continue on to Ptuj. The town is well known beyond the regions boarders for its special microclimate and fertile soil which makes for excellent wines. Settlements in Ptuj date back to the Stone-Age and after a stroll through the oldest town in Slovenia we find ourselves at a local wine maker where we enjoy a guided tour of the cellars and an introduction to the secret of Slovenian wine making. It is here that we truly taste and feel the passion and love this wine is made with.

Day 4: After breakfast at the Hotel our excursion takes us beyond boarders into Croatia, where we visit the Capital Zagreb. Here we meet our local guide and immerse ourselves into the cities rich history, cultural flair, coffee-house traditions, street art and countless museums. Zagreb, referred to as the Balkan pearl, is an old city once owned by the Austria-Hungarian empire with a town center dating back at least one thousand years. The relaxed pace of this tour allows us to completely take in the charm of the city and for the classics at heart, the Hotel Esplanade is a must see. Built at the beginning of the 20th century it is considered a historical icon of art deco glamour with a fairy tale exterior, once solely built for the customers of the famous Orient Express on its way to Istanbul …..

Day 5: After breakfast at the Hotel we meet our local guide for a excursion to Bled, the famous fairytale glacier lake. The beauty of lake Bled with the mighty Julian Alps in the background is famous beyond borders, especially for its thermal springs which are believed to have special healing powers. On the north bank of the lake, Blejski Castle is nestled on a steep rock that rises above the lake from which you have the most stunning view of the lake, the small island and the surrounding mountains. After a visit to the castle and some ample free to further explore on your own, it is time to return to Ljubljana.

The remainder of the day is yours to spend to your own hearts content. Explore Ljubljana one more time, perhaps even from the river by boat for a different vantage point, rent a bicycle or walk up to the castle.

Day 6: After breakfast it is time to check out and say fare well to this beautiful adventure as our journey takes us north, back to Ramstein for an early evening arrival.

Incredible Croatia

Incredible Croatia

This trip is legendary…

Join us for a 9-day epic adventure to Incredible Croatia, where you will find a diverse array of exotic landscapes from the Karawanken Mountains to the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea.  Explore a wealth of architectural styles and triumphs that have hosted and inspired Hollywood productions such as Game Of Thrones, while sampling the delicious food and a culture that has thrived in this sun-drenched and temperate region for over a millennium.  Highlights include the enchanting city of Dubrovnik, Plitvice National Park, Split, Sibenik, the Island of Krk, the Makarska Riviera, Zadar, and much more with almost everything you need for a fantastic sightseeing holiday included.

Day 1 / Saturday: Austria

An early morning departure by bus takes us south, into the alpine region of Austria and the border town of Villach where we will check in to our hotel in the late afternoon.  This region offers beautiful natural surroundings and a preview of the majestic Karawanken Mountains that we will be driving through tomorrow.  In the evening dinner will be served at the hotel followed by free time for you to relax or prepare for the exciting trip ahead.

Day 2 / Sunday:  Island Krk

After an early morning breakfast provided at the hotel, we continue our journey through the Karawanken Mountain Chain tunnel, continue across Slovenia and into Northern Croatia’s beautiful Riviera. Today we visit the magnificent Island of Krk, and thanks to a very elegantly curved bridge from the mainland, it is even easier to access. On the Island, one is immediately welcomed by a lively atmosphere, bustling with visitors from all over the world. The Island is famous for its diverse landscape reaching from bare mountain tops to fertile river valleys. The area is quite famous for the Zlahtina grape, used to produce Sparkling wine. We will visit the lively island-capital of Krk, which emerged from an ancient roman settlement as well as the charming city of Punat, embedded in olive groves and vineyard. After some thorough exploration and free time, we continue to check in to our hotel on the island, freshen up and enjoy dinner

Day 3 / Monday:  Plitvice National Park

After breakfast at the hotel and check out, we begin an exciting day visiting one of Croatia’s most beautiful natural gems, the famous Plitvice National Park.  The park is renowned for it's stunning lakes and jaw-dropping turquoise waterfalls, which will provide ample opportunity to snap the first of many envy-inducing photos. Joined by a local guide, we will explore the many exquisite waterbodies and imposing limestone deposits including a boat ride to get us just a bit closer to the falls. Following the tour, the park is yours to discover using the small hiking trails. Perhaps you may simply choose to relax and allow yourself to be captivated by the ever-changing, gentle sunlight as it entwines with the reflection of lakes mesmerizing azur waters.   After free time in this stunning park, we continue on to Sibenik located near the confluence of the Krka River and the Adriatic Sea. After check-in and dinner at the hotel, the evening is free for you to get a head start exploring this new and historically rich city.

Day 4 / Tuesday: Sibenik

Our day begins bright and early with breakfast at the hotel followed by a stroll through the picturesque old town of Sibenik. Together with our local guide you will explore a fascinating labyrinth of winding streets that radiate the rich history and beauty of the city.  The most important building in Sibenik is the Cathedral of Saint James, a UNESSCO World Heritage site and perhaps the finest example of Croatian church architecture. GOT (Game of Thrones) enthusiasts may recognize the town and the Cathedral as one of season fives filming locations for the city of Bravos and the "Iron Bank" in Westeros. The old forts towering above the town offer spectacular panoramas of the city and the beautiful bay beyond. From here you can also see the St. Anthony Channel, a natural and protected strait of water that traverses one-and-half miles to connect the city to the Bay of Sibenik, offering trails for biking, walking, swimming and to the sightseeing St. Nicholas' Fortress and St. Anthony Cave.  Following the tour of the city, and dinner at the hotel, the evening is free for taking in the nightlife and independent exploration.

Day 5 / Wednesday: Split

Following breakfast at the hotel, today’s adventure takes us to even more GOT hot spots.  Our travel takes us south, along the scenic coastline route of the charming Adriatic Magistrale, offing fantastic views and unforgettable photo opportunities along the way. We arrive at the town of Split, second largest city in Croatia and with many visitors claiming it to be the most beautiful city in the world. The Old Town is cobbled together in a labyrinthine of narrow streets that hide the imposing Diocletian's Palace and Black Sphinx in their center. GOT Fans will delight in another GOT filming site, the 4th century Diocletian Palace that was used in many episodes as the dungeons where Daenerys Targaryen kept her Dragons as well as her Throne Room.  The waterfront Promenade, possibly the best-known landmark of the city, is known for the see-and-be-seen type that showcase sunglasses and fashionable eyewear to a new level.  The latest and greatest shades are snapped up immediately, regardless of the expensive, so that new owners can maintain their fashionista status along the promenade.  From here we continue on down the coast line to Tucepi where our new hotel awaits us for check-in and dinner.

Day 6 / Thursday: Dubrovnik

After breakfast at the hotel, we continue our sightseeing along the Adriatic Sea to the spectacular and exotic city of Dubrovnik. George Bernard Shaw said  “Those who are looking for paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik” and countless others have praised the beauty of the old city.  Inside the cities mighty walls, a splendid mixture of medieval and baroque architecture is reflected in the private residences, palaces, churches, and monasteries which contrast beautifully with the modern office buildings. The world-class cultural and historical treasures set against a beautiful natural backdrop make Dubrovnik an incredibly dynamic travel destination. The wounds inflicted on the city in the early 1990s by Serbian bombardment have long since healed leaving the city once again, to shine as one of the Adriatic’s most spectacular pearls .

We meet our local guide at the Pile Gate, one of the six gates of the City wall, and begin our guided tour of Dubrovnik. We encourage you to climb the 80 feet to the top of the thick city walls, spanning over a mile to surround old town, where you will find a splendid view of the city and Adriatic Sea at your feet.  Dubrovnik is also GOT most prominent filming location in Croatia, used for many of the series most iconic locations including King's Landing and capital city of Westeros, the Red Keep, Spanish Steps, the Purple Wedding, Black Water Bay and the memorable episode featuring Cersei’s “Walk of Shame.”  Following the tour of the city, the afternoon is free for you to explore on your own before we return to our Hotel on the Markarska Riviera and enjoy another local dinner.

Day 7 / Friday: Makarska Riviera, Zadar & Crikvenica

After breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to say farewell to the Makarska Riviera and embark on the coastal road to Zadar, the gateway to and second largest city in Dalmatia. Zadar is like an open-air museum, with a lively Old Town situated on a promontory, guarded by the city walls.

Along the way to Zadar we make one more stop and visit the mighty Fortress of Klis and for us GOT enthusiasts better known as the city of Meereen starting with season 4, Episode 3 "Breaker of Chains." With the most stunning view onto the coastal line surrounding Split, the fortress is enclosed by vinyards and olive groves. The fortress dates back 2000 years and was used as a stronghold during the Roman Empire, played a defending role against the Mongols and later on against the Ottoman empire and became the seat for several Croatian Kings.

After arrival in Zadar, our local guide will provide a guided tour and the historical background of Zadar’s impressive sites.  Enjoy the Roman ruins, impressive churches in various architectural styles that line the charming streets creating a vibrant cultural atmosphere, steeped in centuries of rich history. At the sea side steps in Old Town, the whisper of delicate notes from the world-famous Sea Organ, powered solely by oceanic tidal energy, can be heard mingling with the sound of the surf. Before we leave this beautiful spot, there will be free time and perfect opportunity to take in the salty air and warm ambience before we begin our journey north towards the Crikvenica Riviera and dinner at the hotel.

Day 8  / Saturday: Crikvenica Riviera & Austria

After breakfast at the hotel, it is time to check out and begin the return journey.  Our route takes us north, through Slovenia, up into the Karawanken Mountains, and across the Austrian border. From here we make our way into the Salzburg area where our hotel and dinner await.

Day 9 / Sunday: Salzburg - Ramstein

Breakfast will be provided before we depart on our final leg of the journey that takes us north, arriving in Ramstein by early evening.
