Bohemian Romance

During the month of Valentine-Romanace, let RTT introduce you to the Vibrant City of Prague and the SPA town of Karlovy Vary on this 2 overnight Weekend adventure. The focal point of this tour will be the lively atmosphere, rich culture, tasty indulgance in Bohemian delights and great shopping for almost anything imaginable. Prague and Karlovy Vary are bursting with stunning architecture from the most memorable European time periods, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque that sure will take your breath away. The relaxed pace of this tour affords plenty of free time for wandering off the beaten track, exploring hidden culinary gems and getting to know the tasty Pilsner beer culture.

Day 1: Our adventure begins high above the town of Prague at a specialty restaurant & microbrewery, inside one of the towns oldest Monastery’s with a hearty Bohemian style lunch. This tasty introduction to the culinary side of Bohemia will invigorate and re-fresh you for our walking tour of Prague and the famous Castle with our local guide right afterwards. The Castle of Prague is the largest preserved fortress from the middle ages in all of Europe. From atop the castle hill we descend into town, crossing the Vltava (Moldau) River on the famous Charles bridge towards old town square. Early evening, we will check in to our 4-star Hotel, providing ample time to relax and explore on your own for the evening.

Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, this legendary city is all yours to explore independently at your own pace. Take advantage of the tour guides recommendations of all the “must see”, “must eat” or "must shop" places in town. Make sure to ask your guide about the possibility of a cruise along the famous river for a different vantage point of the city, perhaps in the evening when the city is ablaze with light.

Day 3: After breakfast, we travel to Karlovy Vary, where your time is your own to explore, shop or enjoy the many architectural gems found throughout the city. There are 13 main hot springs throughout the town, all draining into the cold waters of the Tepla river creating huge jets of water and steam, and giving the city a romantic, misty ambiance. The presence of the springs and the healing mineral water they contain make it one of Europe’s premiere wellness destinations—step up to one, found in the center of town, and sip as the water bubbles directly from the earth. The city is also a top shopping spot for grand crystal chandeliers, china, and stemware. A trip to Karlovy Vary would not be compete without a stroll through the riverside districts' expansive colonnades, columned walkways and stunning Neoclassical and Art-Nouveau spa buildings.
