Germany’s Favorite Christmas Markets

Join us on a full day tour to Germany's oldest Christmas Markets in Nürnberg & Rothenburg. Our first stop will be to the traditional Gingerbread factory, Lebkuchen Schmidt where we will enjoy a tour and learn about how this “bread of life” came to represent a Bavarian Christmas. At the factory outlet, you can shop to your gingerbread-hearts content for treats to take home and share with loved ones or nibble on throughout the holiday season.

Next, we continue on to Nürnberg, thought to be one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany, where you will find some of the finest examples of hand crafted Items and culinary delights. Recipes, traditional, craftsmanship and passion that have been passed down for generations is what makes a visit to this market rare treat. The market is situated in the center of old town and filled with stands of tasty Bavarian specialties you won't find elsewhere, famous ginger bread cookies and the typical Nürnberg sausages will send your taste-buds into a seasonal flavored overdrive. Nürnberg is also the home of the famous Christmas Angel and the largest Flaming Fire Tongs.

In the afternoon the holiday enchantment will continue at another fantastic Christmas Market in the romantic town of Rothenburg.  Walk through one of the city’s ancient gateways to the Christmas Market and where you have three whole hours of time to shop, visit the stores and sites within the town walls.  Make sure you don't miss the Käthe Wohlfahrt House! Charming at any time of year, the holiday season adds an extra special dose of magic to this medieval town, turning it into a winter fairy tale. The smell of hot mulled wine and holiday pastries mix with the crisp winter air, sparkling lights and completely immersing you in the warm embrace of the holiday season.  It’s a day of Christmas delight at two of Germany’s most beloved cities and Christmas Markets.
