Peace and Justice meets Blissful Beach Fun

A sunbath or a long walk on the beach, a visit to the international town of peace and justice, or perhaps even both? Join us on a fun filled day to The Hague and its beautiful beach just minutes away, Scheveningen. As the capital of south Holland, The Hague is best known for being home of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations located in the Vredespaleis (Peace Palace). Highlights of the town are the Huis ten Bosch Palace, home to the Dutch Royal Family and the Palace Noordeinde, seat of the Dutch Government. The Hague has always been known to be the political center but also has a variety of cultural institutions in store for visitors, museums, bustling shopping areas as well as an abundance of welcoming bars and restaurants.

If museums and big city charm is not what you are seeking today, stay right here in Scheveningen, on one of the most beautiful and awarded beaches in Holland. The well maintained white sandy beach provides peace and tranquility. The 2.5km beach boulevard offers a variety of quality restaurants, bars, cafés, beach pavilions and plenty of lounge couches with unobstructed views of the North Sea.

Keukenhof Flower Parade 2 Overnight

Keukenhof Flower Parade

with Amsterdam & Rotterdam

Flower enthusiasts won't want to miss this special trip showcasing the Keukenhof Spring Garden’s Flower Parade combined with sightseeing to two of Hollands most famous cities - Amsterdam & Rotterdam.  This 3-day tour offers the best in Dutch culture and popular sites at a relaxed pace and fantastic price!

The afternoon is yours to explore Rotterdam’s maritime heritage such as the famous White House of Rotterdam, the Crocked Cube Houses, Erasmus Bridge and other innovative architectural marvels found throughout the city. A visit to the Markthal (market hall) offers a lively atmosphere, plenty of shopping opportunities and a chance sample the edible delights at one of the many food stalls at the famous Binnenrotte. Check in at our 4-Star hotel will be available in the late afternoon, and a three-course or buffet style dinner (included) will be offered that evening at the hotel.

Day 2: Our day begins with breakfast at the hotel (included) to fortify us for a fantastic fun filled flower packed day at the renowned Keukenhof Tulip Gardens.  Here, we will experience this year’s annual theme “Flower Power,” which features 7 million flowering bulbs in a breathtaking Spring display. Enjoy wandering the boxwood maze with that overlooks the fields of blooming tulips that surround the park or visit the working windmill where you can purchase a ticket for a “whisper boat ride.”

The main attraction, The Flower Parade, passes the Keukenhof Garden along the Keukenhof Corso Boulevard at about 15:30 in the afternoon (time will be reconfirmed by your guide). We suggest getting in place early to ensure you have a good location and vantage point to see the large flowered covered floats, luxuriously decorated cars and parade spectacles.  On our way back, we will enjoy a scenic drive through The Hague and be able to snap pictures of the well-known International Court of Justice. We arrive back at the hotel for a relaxing evening and a three-course or buffet style dinner (included).  The rest of the evening is yours to continue your explorations of Rotterdam, or you can unwind and recharge for the final leg the of the journey.

Day 3: Our final day begins with breakfast at the hotel (included) before departing for the Clara Maria Farm, a fourth-generation Dutch family owned and operated cheese farm and clog production.  Here the van Wees family will proudly introduce us to some classic Dutch traditions with a cheese-making and clog-manufacturing demonstrations followed by delicious cheese samples and a chance to purchase wares and gifts from their shop.   Next, we journey to the heart of downtown Amsterdam, where you are free to explore the city’s museums and canals at your leisure.  Your tour guide will be happy to provide suggestions about local sights, places for lunch and where to arrange a guided canal boat ride (not included).  Our late afternoon departure ensures a timely arrival back at Ramstein.

Dutch Grand Slam

Windmill Village Holland

Dutch Grand Slam

The Best of Holland

This 3-day tour-de-force trip to Holland offers a huge bang for your buck with five famous Dutch attractions in 2 amazing Dutch cities!

Day 1: Our adventure gets underway with an early morning departure, setting us up for a late-morning arrival at the Alkmaar Cheese Market in Holland, where you will witness the Dutch cheese trade from the merchant’s perspective. Walk among giant wheels of cheese where you can taste an assortment of classical dutch cheeses like Gouda, Edam, Leiden, Frisian, and others along with smoked and herbed varieties. Take advantage of this opportunity to shop for souvenirs and wonderful cheeses to bring home to share with envious friends. Next we depart for the Windmill Village of Zaanse Schanz for a morning of marveling at some of Holland's most iconic windmills. With your included special Zaanse Schanz card, you have the opportunity to enjoy several museums and windmills as well as the Verkade Chocolate and Biscuit Factory These combined delicious Dutch experiences take you back in time to the early twentieth century where you can learn more about the history of biscuits and chocolate using the original and still working machines. Later we travel to our hotel on the northern coast, check in to our Hotel and enjoy a well deserved dinner before we retire for the evening.

Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, today we visit Amsterdam. Here 50 miles of narrow canals, 1000 bridges that connect more than 70 islands, threaded together by thousands of streets and alleyways, all lined with uncountable numbers of beautiful buildings, await your discovery. We start our day with a guided boat ride along the picturesque canals where we will learn all about the surrounding historical locations the city has to offer. The combination of waterways, amazing architecture and unique Dutch attitude of “Gezellig” make Amsterdam a rare gem. The remainder of the day we encourage you to perhaps visit the Van Goh Museum, Ann Frank House, the Jordaan area with its precious gardens or the De Negen Straatjes (Nine Little Streets). If you find yourself getting hungry, keep your eye out for Stroopwafels, a sensational sweet Dutch treat made from two wafer thin, cookie like waffles glued together with a delectably thick caramel syrup. Another classic culinary creation the Netherlands is known for is Stamppot, a hearty dish made mashed potato, vegetables and smoked sausages such as Dutch Rookworst, Spanish Chorizo or Polish Kielbasa. As the evening draws near, we will regroup for our transfer back to hotel, sit down for another tasty dinner and relax for the night after a wonderfully fun-filled day of sightseeing.

Day 3: After an early breakfast and hotel checkout, we begin our journey to the grand finale, the renowned Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. But no trip to Holland would be complete without a visit to a cheese farm, so an essential detour must be made along the way. At the Clara Maria Cheese Farm and we will enjoy a first-hand demonstration in wooden shoe production and traditional cheese-making with tasty samples! The highlight of our final day is the tulip fields and the Keukenhof Tulip Garden where we experience its annual theme “Flower Classics” featuring 7 million flowering bulbs in a breathtaking spring landscape display. Chill out on a whisper boat ride (not included) or doze on the lawn amongst the artistic floral arrangements. We spend the afternoon there until you’re flowered out, and depart in time for a comfortable evening arrival back at Ramstein.
