...Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Don’t we all wish we had a Mirror whispering back reassuring words of everlasting beauty to us? Once upon a time, a fairytale by the brothers Grimm was written about a young girl hidden away by her horrific stepmother in Castle not far away from where we live now. Join RTT on a mystery adventure trip of full of fantasy, fantastic stories and fairytale castles.
Our journey takes us deep into a thick forest, where at the center lies a charming historical German fabled to be the birthplace of our heroin, the beautiful Snow White. Here, we will be greeted by the fair young maiden herself and start our adventure by taking a hearty bite into the famous apple that changed her live and popular culture forever. After telling us a bit more about herself we will continue our visit through Snow Whites hometown with our local guide. As we pass by the towns fortifications, old cathedrals and half-timbered houses, our local guide will provide an in-depth look into this ancient town’s history. After learning the story of this quaint village, there will be time to explore on your own, do a little souvenir shopping, snap some photos or visit the interior of the Castle Castle. Here in Snow Whites former home, you will still find the fateful mirror hanging on the wall… Perhaps it will have something special to say to you…?
After plenty of free time, it’s time to regroup and refuel! Even in the most northern part of Bavaria it would be considered a breach of etiquette to not visit a brewery for lunch. Here at Keiler-Bräu, we sit down for a hearty German Schnitzel lunch and perhaps a cool local brew.
Our day of fabled fun in the German countryside is not over yet! We have one final adventure waiting for you with a visit to the beautiful Water-Castle of Mespelbrunn. Tucked into the forest and surrounded by rolling hills, Mespelbrunn Castle over time has withstood many wars and remained in the same private ownership and residence of one family for hundreds of years. The Counts of Ingelheim, have kept the property well preserved and are proud to open their home and share it with the public to enjoy. The Castle was built in the 15th century as a late medieval, early renaissance style castle. Here we will join a guided tour and dive into the history of the area and the royal nobility that ruled here. After the tour, we invite you to enjoy some free time in the castle gardens or visit the royal café for a sweet afternoon snack before it is time to leave our fairytale land of wonder and return to the real world.
