Tonight we make a journey deep into the picturesque Rhineland Region to discover Satzvey Castle, nestled against the eastern edge of the Schavener Heide Nature Preserve. Originally built in the 12th century, and first documented in 1396, Satzvey Castle is considered to be the most beautiful and finest preserved moated castle in the Rhineland. On normal days the castle boasts and assortment of medieval activities and entertainment, but the nights leading up to Halloween nothing remains the same as the local ghosts, gools and goblins lay claim to the extensive 4.5-hectare castle grounds for a good old fashioned haunting!
The fun begins with a thorough Trick or Treating while on the bus - enjoy this "sweet meal" as it very well might be your last before we embark on an adventure of terror! Upon arrival at the castle a spooky ferryman awaits us in the moat surrounding the castle, leading the way to the spook-tacular surroundings and a terrifying assortment of monsters lay laying in wait to frighten and delight you. For the brave ones, we invite you to venture into the Labyrinth of Horrors where a spine tingling fright awaits you with the goal of forever trapping you within the diabolical maze.
A unique show and musical program will accompany the whole evening on the main stage where you can experience all kinds of mystical dances and fire shows. To help you keep up your strength, snacks, beverages and other fortifications are available for purchase from the ghostly traders. Later in the evening, a great after show party with live DJ will pulse music into the night for all the dancing werewolves and vampires until it is time to head back to Ramstein.
